The Analyses of Long Term Inhaled Budesonide on 152 COPD Patients

Abstracts: 152 COPD patients participated in a study assessing the effect of inhaled Budesonide. According to their FEV1, 152 COPD patients are divided into 3 groups: mild, medium and severe group. Besides the routine treatment, administer patients in these 3 groups inhaled Budesonide 400 to 800ug a day for a period of 3 months. Three months later, sign of the patients in the mild group improved quite a lot, but we can not see any clear improvement on patients in the medium and severe groups. Long term inhaled Budesonide is quite effective to those with mild COPD but it is not effective to patients with medium and severe COPD.
